A Creature returns to Pittsburgh...
As part of the 2017 Tough Art Residency, THE NEST returned to PGH for the summer. This time, THE NEST popped up in three different locales within Children's Museum of Pittsburgh. The creature needed help from families to construct a giant home from colorful rope, Tyvek, found objects, maps, paper, fabric and hand-written messages to the creature. Children work together to build both space and narrative for an unknown creature. HAVE YOU SEEN IT?
We hosted FOUR community art-making workshops to expand the projects' reach beyond the museum.
